Virginia-Monmouth Baseball Game Moved to Sunday DH

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The Friday (Feb. 28) Virginia-Monmouth baseball game, originally scheduled for 3 p.m., has been postponed. The game now will be played as part of a doubleheader Sunday (March 2) beginning at noon.

The series now will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday (March 1).

The ticket for the Friday Virginia-Monmouth game will be valid for the second game of the doubleheader on Sunday. The tickets for the Sunday Virginia-Monmouth game will be valid for the first game of Sunday's doubleheader beginning at noon.

Fans with tickets for the games on Friday and Sunday may exchange their tickets in advance for a General Admission ticket to any other regular-season game by calling the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 542-8821 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or bring their ticket stubs to the gate for General Admission seating at any remaining regular-season home game, subject to seat availability at the time of arrival.

Parking on Sunday will be available in the University Hall, McCue and John Paul Jones Arena parking lots.

Season tickets, 10-game mini-packages, and single-game tickets for the 2014 Virginia baseball season are on sale at the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office. Customers may purchase tickets by logging on to, calling (800) 542-UVA1 or by visiting the ticket office in Bryant Hall during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tickets will also be sold at the Davenport Field ticket windows beginning two hours prior to each home game.
