Harris Selected For State Farm College 3-Point Championship

CHICAGO - Virginia senior shooting guard Joe Harris (Chelan, Wash.) has been selected to participate in the 2014 State Farm College 3-Point Championship, announced Tuesday (April 1) by Intersport.

The State Farm College Slam Dunk and 3-point Championships will be held Thursday (April 3) at Southern Methodist University's Moody Coliseum in Dallas, Texas. The event will be televised live on ESPN at 9 p.m. ET. Joining Harris in the 3-point contest are Andre Dawkins (Duke), Brady Heslip (Baylor), Marshall Henderson (Ole Miss), Luke Hancock (Louisville), Ethan Wragge (Creighton), Akeem Richmond (East Carolina) and Travis Bader (Oakland). Prior winners of the 3-point contest include Steve Nash, Gary Payton and Kyle Korver.

Harris led Virginia to a 30-7 record, ACC regular season and tournament championships and a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament this season by averaging 12 points per game and hitting 40 percent (72-of-180) from 3-point range.

Harris ranks second all-time at Virginia in 3-point percentage (40.7%) and 3-pointers (263). He made a career-high five 3-pointers three times during his school-record 135 career games at UVa. His 263 career 3-pointers rank 19th all-time in ACC history. Harris finished his career ranked 11th on Virginia's all-time scoring list with 1,698 points.
