Virginia head women's lacrosse coach Julie Myers announced her team's "fall ball" scrimmage schedule.

As part of the preparation for the 2013 season, the team will play unofficial scrimmages on five dates during its fall training schedule, including three contests to be played in Charlottesville at the University Hall Turf Field.

On Sunday, Sept. 29, the team will play a pair of scrimmages against UMBC (12:15 p.m.) and Maryland (1:30 p.m.) in a tournament in College Park, Md.

Virginia will host three scrimmages at Turf Field, beginning with a Wednesday, Oct. 2 scrimmage against Richmond at 7 p.m. The Cavaliers also host Virginia Tech on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. and Florida on Sunday, Oct. 27 at 10:30 a.m.

The Cavaliers' road contest at James Madison in Harrisonburg on Wednesday, Oct. 9 has had a game time change. The two teams will now play at 4:30 p.m. instead of the previously-announced 6 p.m.

All of the scrimmages will be open to the public and fans are invited to get a sneak peak at the 2014 team, including the nation's third-ranked recruiting class.

Sunday, Oct. 27, 10 a.m. vs. Florida, Lower Practice Turf (near the McCue Center, below the football practice facility)
