Bethany Beach, Del. - Virginia women's tennis standouts Julia Elbaba (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) and Stephanie Nauta (Galveston, Texas) are competing in the 10K ResortQuest Women's Pro Open this week in Bethany Beach, Del. Elbaba and Nauta are competing in singles and doubles during the tournament.

Elbaba and Nauta each opened the main draw round of 32 with three-set victories. Elbaba posted a 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 win over Florida's Brianna Morgan, while Nauta claimed a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 win over Wisconsin's Lauren Chypyha. Elbaba faces Andie Daniell in the round of 16 and Nauta plays Ingrid Neel.

Nauta teamed with former NC State standout Joelle Kissell to post a 6-1, 6-1 win over Sydney Rider and Chypyha in main draw doubles action. Nauta and Kissell face Lena Litvak and Alexandra Mueller in the quarterfinals. Elbaba and Tristen Dewar dropped a 6-3, 6-3 decision to Caroline Dolehide and Ellie Halbauer.
